IS WAR JUSTIFIED?

To understand ethics of war, first we must think over a very basic question that is what is war? War seems to be the most destructive and horrific type of human interaction.No other venue allows people to kill each other in such massive numbers or to cause such incredible and widespread suffering. Formally speaking war is a conflict carried on by force of arms , as between nations or between parties within a nation and so on.

Now knowing what the word actually means , lets return to our initial question that is is war justified?Before answering the question lets first think of war at a smaller scale that is is killing an individual justified?Most of us would instantly answer the question in negative.But what if the deed is done for self-defense ? Answers tend to change.Similarly war may be justified if a country is forced into it .In certain circumstances it is naive indeed to believe that if we all would put down our weapons , the other side would quit fighting.When it comes to fighting for human rights and justice, war is indeed justified.

But now lets look at the other side of the coin; if a person slaps you and you slap him back doesn't make you any different from the one.What is expected from your side is that you try and find out the reason behind the person's rage and fix it in the best possible way.Gandhi once said "An eye for an eye would make the world blind". He strongly believed in non-violence. He won independence without fighting with arms .Violence is a clumsy weapon which creates more problems than it solves and leaves a trail of hatred and bitterness in which genuine reconciliation is impossible.For instance world war I  led to world war II as Germany felt shafted and alienated by the harsh treatment given at the Versailles.

Concluding on such a topic is harder than it may seem.One might think whats wrong with war if its for self-defense.But why fight when war can be avoided by compromises and negotiations.Nationalism and love for one's country is all good but why confine ourselves to boundaries like these. We can live as a united global village and get our differences solved in a more efficient way. Fighting for territory or food would just make similar us to animals and our intelligence and the title of " the top of the creation" as humans would then br in question .Therefore i conclude the war is never justified.

Protector

Doomed to roam this empty world
Trying to discover a lost treasure
A rare prize thats hardly ever detected.
Why am I condemned to attend a life without a purpose?
Searching everywhere to discover a reason why
An entity of higher powers chose to send me to my demise
I always ponder at that idea and all it causes is turmoil at the thought of it
There must be a reason thats for sure to make my endure
all of life's twists and turns

Finally found the reason i long desired
It was held in a prize,a vivid jewel
It shined to the world in it's vibrant hues
This gem too many may seem frivolous
but to me it shined all the longer I saw it in my view, A free spirited soul,
trapped within this gem.
Free spirited soul i was missing though from the
rough terrians i've been enduring
So from first sight of you, it began to dawn on me
my soul purpose is to be your protector.

As life continued on, you were always close by
The soul still remained within in the gem. The triumphant soul
still shined on for the whole world, to see in it's glory.
The vast depth of the jewel brought meaning but most of all
brought back a spirit long forgotten
within me that was lost along my travels.
Within in you I saw hope, courage, and things i didnt dream to imagine
before but now i seek them in the world as you do, now by my side.
You are a gem of child , with a free spirited soul that lit up my life.
Even when the day comes when we will have to go our seperate paths
whenever you seek advice or affection, your protector will be there yet by your side.
So go into the world and seek the nutrition you desire, seek the goodness of souls
and the purness of hearts.
I will not be long behind when I am needed by your side, as you have been helping me this entire time.

RELATIONSHIPS

Any animal, may it be human, elephant or even a small ant, lives in a constant interaction with other beings of its kind, something which is scientifically called a population. And all these interactions inturn lead to a kind of intimacy among the people we interact with, something we technically term as relationships. As human mentality has evolved over time, the understanding of relationships has also acquired various forms. Today we tend to be so much related to people around us that we have begun to take relationships for granted. The foundation of the strong building of relationship is love. And a relationship without love is burden. And "LOVE IS NOT A FEELING WHICH COMES AND GOES, IT IS A FEELING WHICH STAYS AND GROWS ". The word relationships should not be restricted to a bond between couples. The term relationship may be extended to any human interaction may it be between friends, parents, sibilings or even neighbours. In a relationship both the sides have to make certain negotiations, promises and comitments to keep going. Its not that they don't have differences but the beauty lies in living with differences rather that denying them. Even God hasn't created everybody alike, then how can we deny differences. And it is different ideologies and opinions which keeps world going( and i guess the world is quite a wonderful place to live in) Even science supports differences (unlike poles and charges attract).

Another word closely connected to relationships is "BREAK UP".This word is used more oftenly than the word pizza (lol)!!!! Wikipedia defines it as " termination of a intimate relationship".How can we love a person one day and hate him the other. This makes us act even lower than  animals ( can we still call ourselves evolved!!!!!!). One big tip for all the teenagers :
NEVER MISTAKE LIKE FOR LOVE..
AS LIKE MAY BECOME UNLIKE OVERTIMES
BUT LOVE NEVER BECOMES HATE....

Exercise for today

Think about how similar a rose and a thorn is?

If a thorn and rose beiong so dissimilar cannot thrive without each other.Why can't we humans live with a couple of tiny differences (still call ourselves evolved????????????)

Getting Old

New, and inspirational,
That's the beauty of a new born,
Cute, mischievous, yet so innocent,
The baby grows into a child of
great wonder and a sparkling mind
that grows for knowledge.
Though all that curiosity lands on that once
so innocent baby, into teenage years of great discomfort
Only gets worse from there, when BAM!
College hits and that child that was so young is living alone
paying their own bills and cooking their own food
Only if it could stop, but adulthood arrives with
a baby in the carriage, responsibility takes over and
a much more serious person rises form
that once so ignorant baby,
Great sadness arrives, as time delays,
the once so young baby wither by day and then
the heart stops beating

If we could stop aging,
how would life turn out?

Day in and Day out
time flies away so quickly
And there are some days days where
I just want to get out of the class
And escape to an island
thousands of miles away
And never look back
But then again at the end of class
I walk out with a huge smile on my face
Thinking I don't ever want the semester to change.

Rainbow World

Red road range and lost poker chips,
streams of innocent blood,
malnutrition, and lust.
Orange is the huge of acidic attitudes, prison uniform and NDP camoaigns.
Yellow? Caution tape and false cheerfulness.
a Green wave of hybrids and compost, and
5 cent for an empty bottle.
Blue is for the rivers of fear when even fish sob,
Facebook, a tooth for the ear, and feeded skytrain seats.
Purple is jelousy and wealth, a
lack of air, and an
identity labyrinth.

What if the world were a rainbow?
